Since 2014 the occupied Crimean Peninsula is considered by Kremlin to be a part of the Russian Federation comprising two of its constituent entities: so-called Republic of Crimea, and so-called City of Sevastopol. The Russian courts of general jurisdiction, including military garrison courts and justices of peace, and commercial (arbitrazh) courts are functioning on the peninsula. Likewise, lawyers admitted to the Bar in Russia are practicing in that part of occupied Ukrainian territories. Some of them continue as lawyers admitted to the Ukrainian Bar as well.
